The new companion’s name is Clara.

Not Oswin.

They both just happen to be played by Jenna Louise Coleman.

Just like the soothsayer played by Karen Gillan in Fires of Pompeii was not the companion.

And just like the Torchwood worker played by Freema Agyeman in Army of Ghosts was not the companion.

So will everyone please just chill the fuck out.

OOC: There’s actually a huge difference in those two instances.

Jenna was announced as the companion BEFORE she was cast as Oswin.

Freema and Karen were cast BEFORE they were considered to be a new companion. Not the same thing at all.

It had taken weeks… but the Dalek had found one. The Arch that for whatever reason in his memory was needed for him to continue on his life. It… was almost bittersweet.

Hooking up everything the best he could, the device kicked on.

Sparks.. smoke, the feeling of pain… of change. Oh God the pain. He screamed in agony, not sure why anyone would be willing to do this to themselves.

And then? Darkness. Inside a cramped metal space. Was his suit always this small? He triggered the quick released and climbed out.

Wait… he climbed… he had limbs? Fingers? Legs? Hair!?

Stumbling and rushing to a mirror he looked.

“Human..” his voice was unchanged…. no harsh Dalek tones anymore. “I..am.. human.” he shook his head, trying to get a handle on it. He would speak to people. Meet them! Figure out how he should act from here! Brushing himself off, and not realizing the need for clothes, he left his wreck of a spaceship he called home, and set out to investigate.

The heavily armoured special weapons Dalek only appeared briefly in episode 4 of Remembrance of the Daleks.

It was only seen battling the renegade Daleks, it never met the Doctor on screen.
